Creating an account
Registering only needs a username, an email address, and a password. Once you're in, you can create up to a handful of characters from your account dashboard, each with just a name.
Entering the world
Clicking Play drops you into the world as your chosen character. Movement is the usual W A S D, the camera follows your mouse, and holding Shift lets you sprint. Every character starts with four abilities auto-filled onto the first four hotbar slots, with eleven more waiting to unlock as you level up (see Abilities), plus a small starter kit of equipment (see Items and Equipment).
Fighting and leveling up
Left-click (or the right-click menu's Attack option) on any enemy to engage it - see Combat for the full breakdown. Defeating enemies grants experience and gold, which raise your level over time - see Stats & Progression for exactly how that works, what stat points and talents you pick up along the way, and what it all gives you.
Checking your character
Several small buttons live in the bottom-right corner of the screen at all times: your Inventory, your Stats sheet, your Abilities (both your known active abilities and hotbar loadout, and your unlocked passive abilities/talents side by side), and graphics Settings. Open any of them any time - they don't pause the game.
